I'm trying to set up CDex on my new'ish laptop and am having a problem - and can't understand why! I successfully installed it on my previous desktop and used it for years.
I've downloaded the programme and installed the software. When I try to use it the programme knows that there's a CD in the portable CD player but when I try to 'submit to freedb' I keep on getting this error message:
Can it be an incorrect setting? Or something...
I'd really appreciate some help please.

Under Options - Settings - CD Database, have you specified 'Remote freedb'? And have you entered some sort of email address? - it won't work without, but if I remember correctly anything will do so long as it LOOKS like an email addy.
Great program, CDex - been using it for years.0 -

Great program, CDex - been using it for years.
Thanks for your help, and yes, I have done both those things.0 -
Just to confirm - I tried a CD with my copy of CDex and it found the track data correctly.
Is the remote server correctly specified in the 'Remote server' box? Mine is set to 'freedb.freedb.org http 80'. There is another possible setting in the drop-down that I haven't tried.0
