We had a 'repair' carried out by the above but are far from happy with the repair and have so far only agreed a part payment.
They have now sent a letter to debt collectors whom threaten with 'might affect your credit record'.
Am I right to believe that you can only default on an actual Credit Agreement and that unless they took this to court that no dispute or default can be registered.

The only way they can add anything to your credit file is if they have a CCA.
They likely don't so their only way of damaging your file is via CCJ, and only if you have a judgement against you and you don't pay it within 30 days.
I'd personally wait for the LBA (if it appears,) challenge it then go to court.0 -
And if it goes to court, you can defend it and likely avoid a CCJ.:beer:0

Thankyou both. It is what I thought but I'm glad you both agree. If it does I would defend and pay if ordered to do so.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0
