Car Parking Partnership/PS&P

Hi all,
I've been reading the forum for a little while but never thought of posting here.
I received a couple of "PCNs" from the Car Parking Partnership in late 2012/early 2013 at a university and followed friend's advice to just ignore all correspondence, but wanted to check, in light of the new legislation, how I should proceed?
I've had several letters from CPP, their solicitors (in red paper) and at least 3 letters from PS&P, the latest a couple of weeks ago saying they will send a debt collector round (so far hasn't come).
How seriously should I take this? Thanks in advance for your help.

just read the NEWBIES - READ THIS FIRST sticky thread at the top of this forum (the one you clearly did not read)
tells you all you need to know
in future, do not ignore a PCN if in england or wales as the law changed in oct 2012
we have had dozens of similar threads posted about these letters and ps&p in the last few weeks, read some of those too0 -
Thanks Redx, I did read that thread, my question is: is it worth appealing and if I don't, is there a known history of the CPP starting legal proceedings?0
-
that thread covers the merits of appealing, it also tells you its never too late to appeal to the PPC, so why ask when its clearly stated in there ?
there are lists on pepipoo that tell you about who has issued court cases , so by all means go find them and trawl through them to see if your PPC is on that list etc
we will help you, but we also expect people to do some legwork too

Welcome!
My question would be, have you tried searching the forum for the keywords 'PS&P collector' and reading all the other threads like this one in the last week?! Your Qs have been answered half a dozen times at least, in an many days. CPP have not done court to my knowledge (certainly NONE in the last year).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
