I have recently paid off debts and I am now debt free, I have £5000 spare which I would like to invest short term. Has anyone got any ideas on where I go from here please?
Thanks

There are some great current accounts around - lots of info already posted on the board. As an example Santander 123 account pays out 3% - there are a few hoops to jump through for such rates though.0

If it's short term you have in mind then it's best to stick to saving rather than investing - the latter (i.e. shares, funds, etc) is typically only recommended for those happy to tie up their money for 5+ years (and who are prepared to accept the risk of capital loss).0
