In the interests of accuracy, you should be barred from voting. But if we were interested in accuracy, the poll would have been designed (a) without ambiguity, and (b) with clear definitions.
It wasn't so it isn't.
So just tick any box at random, like the rest of us did.
The voting so far is nonsense. But because you haven't voted, it is incomplete. It needs your help and active involvement by voting. Then it will be complete nonsense.0 -

Not to mention that some people will define savings asGraham_Devon wrote: »Well blimey. This one consists of 114 votes. And you are quite happy to make a conclusion from that!
Not to mention the amount of double, triple, quadruple voting under different accounts. 20 of the votes are probably you!
Not to mention the fact that it's on a subset of the forum inhabited mostly by those owning multiple assets. Apparently.- deposits,
- others as deposits plus bonds
- others as deposits plus bonds and equities
MSE DT polls even if asked correctly can only show how different we are from the average.0 -

Or wrong on almost everything?
Yes, it was rather badly worded in my view.
"Don't you get sick of always being so utterly wrong on almost everything?"
It would be better had the "always" been deleted, or maybe the "almost". To have both makes it a bit ambiguous, and it's not very good English.
As a great supporter of your posts, I am pleased to confirm that I give you the benefit of the doubt, and suspect you are utterly wrong on 'almost everything'. If we went back far enough, we might be able to find something upon which you were 'right'. Hence to say you are utterly wrong on everything is a bit of an exaggeration.
In any lively debate, it stalls if everyone has the same view. Therefore it is helpful to have someone who puts forward a contrary view, even if it is wrong. So please keep posting.0 -
There must be a medical condition with a name to describe it ....
I looked for one and the nearest I can find would be cacodoxian, a development of the noun cacodoxy:
Cac´o`dox`y
n.1.Erroneous doctrine; heresy; heterodoxy. Heterodoxy, or what Luther calls cacodoxy. - R. Turnbull.
By absolute coincidence, the word heterdoxy popped up on another thread the other day.
Probably best, though, to use the word I have always used. Someone who is always wrong uses "sophistry", defined thus:
soph·ist·ry [sof-uh-stree]
noun, plural soph·ist·ries.
1. a subtle, tricky, superficially plausible, but generally fallacious method of reasoning.
2. a false argument; sophism.
So my formal diagnosis would be that the medical condition would be called "sophistisis".
If symptoms persist, you should see a doctor.0 -

Oh the irony.
Anyway, what we can conclude from this poll is that there is quite some liquidity hanging around in the pockets of the average Briton, and the doom-and-gloom picture painted by the usual suspects on here is far removed from reality. :beer:Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
Sorry mayonnaise you made a few typos, but I have fixed it for you
Anyway, what we can conclude from this poll is that there is quite some liquidity hanging around in the pockets of the [STRIKE]average[/STRIKE] richest Britons, and the doom-and-gloom picture painted by the [STRIKE]usual suspects on here[/STRIKE] average Briton is far removed from reality for typical MSE posters0
