I went into the back of someone the other week - the girl had only been driving 3 weeks and she went to go at a roundabout and then just stopped for no reason. There was no visual damage to either car but she couldn't get her boot open - hence she has insurance with Tesco and she claiming - would this affect the quote?

the car insurance quote says the points are for 'new customers only' to me that sugests you have to take the policy out...has anyone called and got these points without buying the insurance?
I suppose no-one will know until the November statement

I got a quote over lunchtime and asked if the points were for the quote. Told yes and gave my card number and operator said points have been credited. Seemed definite.

Does anyone know if you can get a quote for insurance starting in October? I ask because sometimes its impossible to get a quote online that far ahead, usually only 30 days ahead of the quote date.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you

The 500 points is for obtaining a quote only, and - 01302 386304 is listed on SAYNOTO0870.COM which may work, though I've not tried it yet.

There's a bit of confusion above - there appears to be a separate offer for 200 points on health insurance which of course is nothing to do with car insurance! ;)

This number is for cancellations only. They said they wouldn't re-direct the call and gave me an 0845 number to ring - yeah right!

Also tried 0113 3904000 which is the switchboard for Tesco Insurance products. They eventually put me through to the right place.

She must have not only been driving for only three weeks but away with the fairies. You went into the back of her . who is at fault?? How did you know so much about her.

I just thought I'd mention - I just called for a quote that I don't really need but wanted the points, the operator said they were really busy at the moment and If I just wanted the points they would credit them without giving the quote. Suppose it saves them time to get on to people who do really want to get a quote!!
