Beware of Amazon seller Smart Gadget Services

This is my first post so hopefully I have done everything right.
I bought an iphone5 charger from Smart Gadget Services on amazon, unfortunately I did it on my lunch break at work, so I didn't read any reviews before purchasing from them (my own mistake I know, but now I'm here to make sure other people don't make the same one) It wasn't one of the cheap chargers, I decided to pay a little bit more for one to ensure to was quality.
The first time I plugged it in, it didn't charge, so I tried another plug which worked fine, I left it a couple of minutes and went to potter about, when I came back the phone charger - the end connected my phone had MELTED and it started sparking. I immediately unplugged it from the mains, although i couldn't take the end connected to my phone out as the plastic was still melting around it.
I dread to think what would have happened if I didn't come back in the room, or if I left it charging overnight. I'm one hundred percent convinced my house would have burned down, and I wouldn't be here to warn others.
Please please please be careful electrical goods from them, I'm genuinely concerned for anyone that has bought products from them.
I've read their Amazon reviews and even though they have quite a high score for reviews (88%) numerous people had the same not charging problem.
I've contacted the seller numerous times and they just keep ignoring me, great eh?
Anyway, hi everyone, thanks for having me

Seems to be a major issue on Amazon at the moment, as I couldn't find a single iphone 5 charger last night without lots of 1* reviews and complaints. Will end up buying them from an Apple store, whilst grumbling about the extortionate price
Given the price of the phone though, always best to play it safe!0 -
There is a lot of problems at the moment with 'fake'chargers over heating and sometimes causing fires.Whether this is one I do not know.0

That's exactly what I've done today, popped to the 3 store in town and bought one from them at an eye-watering £21! However, a small price to pay to know that it's going to be safe and not nearly start a fire!0 -
Pretty certain I read in the news last year to avoid snide chargers for the iPhones and to only purchase branded makes
Certain they have been linked to fires and people being electrocuted0
