Land Registry question...do they mess up?

I have a property I rent out.
On the title transfer docs it shows I have one allocated parking space in a parking area 'shared' by seven other houses, all of whom have one allocated space (totalling 8 spaces) and there are 3 communcal spaces.
The other day, another woner 'claimed' one of the communal spaces as his own, and showed me his title transfer plans showing the space as belonging to him ????
My title transfer doc was signed at Land Registry about 8 weeks after his....
has anyone come across Land Regstry messing things up before? as I have written to all the other owners and he is the only one who thinks he owns 2 spaces?
We have both independently rung the LR and they can't explain it over the phone.....
ANy thoughts?
