My Cat hate my new one cat

Hello Friends,

I am a cat lover, I have a cat from a long time named kalley. I took another cat but my first cat don't like this too much. So what I did so my first cat behave normal with the second one. Your advise is valuable for me. I look forward to hear from you.

How long have you had the new cat? It may take a while for them to get used to each other.

Have you tried Feliway while they get used to each other?

They may never like each other , I had two cats and they co-existed for 20yrs in our house by they still spat at each other if ever they were in the same room or space.

  • Have you got them in separate rooms?

Really when introducing cats especially, the newcomer should be confined to one room a) to make it feel secure & get it's confidence in a new environment and b) so the resident cat has time to adjust and accept it before they meet

You want to start with scent swapping ie put a blanket / towel in with new cat & then bring out after a couple of days so resident cat can get used it's smell (and vise versa) and then build up to seeing each other through glass / a window .... it may be weeks before they're ready to actually meet

    Good luck
