Toddler duvet from amazon

I am usually very happy with stuff I buy from amazon. I ordered a toddler 9tog duvet from a seller. It was late arriving but they sent a replacement. It arrived this morning.
It doesn't have any labels on it. It looks ok. I have no way of knowing for certain that it is 9tog, or any washing instructions, materials, or safety.
Am I being a bit fussy, only it is for my little boy and bedding for little ones should be safe and of good quality. I don't want a further delay as he needs a warm duvet know it is getting cold.

Could you get a cheap value one (with safety labels in) from a supermarket for now whilst you look for a better quality one? Failing that, nothing wrong with sheets and extra blankets
Well the problem is that I couldn't find a 9 tog toddler duvet anywhere else. There are other sellers on amazon that might be more reliable. Thanks for confirming what I thought.0 -
How abut this one for £24.99, comes with the bonus of a 4.5 tog too as it's an all seasons one.

Sounds suspect. Unfortunately these days Amazon often allows the same dodgy sellers you get on ebay onto their site. I would send it back and look somewhere more reputable.
When I was looking for a duvet for my LO last year I found they are all generally have low tog ratings. I believe this is for safety reasons as toddlers can overheat easily. Due to the size of the duvet cover I had to buy a cot size duvet and the maximum tog rating I could buy is 4 tog. Nine does sound quite high.
Do you have a particularly cold house? We put a blanket on top of the duvet if we feel LO needs it.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0
