NCP parking notice.

Hi,
last may we went to watch England at Wembley and parked in the car park next to the tube station, parked next to a vehicle but making sure not in a restricted zone (no yellow lines), paid the ticket and went off to the game. On return we had a ticket, to our surprise!! Apparently in small lettering you have to make sure you are parked in a marked space. The lines were about 2 ft long and as other cars were parked it looked like we were in a normal space. we weren't blocking anyone and there was no reason for these spaces not to be used! I queried the notice only to have it declined, the car was my husbands company car, which he longer has and he was driving, they are sending the letters to me at work as that is all they have.
I have now got a debt letter from 'Debt Recovery Plus' which are telling me I need to pay them £124.00 and it looks like a scam on further investigation. Can someone give me some advice as what to do.? Thanks Sara
