i have just took washing out of machine and found a silk scarf wrapped arounda thick cotton skirt and the colour has run from scarf to skirt and covered the entire front of the skirt. i have put in back in machine on a quick wash with it covered in those spray that remove stains (all i had in cupboard) i have seen a new product in supermarket which is a bit like a wet one that you put into machine and the colour transfers off item and onto the cloth. problem is i wont get to supermarket now for a few days and do not know whther i should let skirt dry or keep it wet till then. as will the colour dry in completely if i let skirt dry??

I have those sachet things - they are called colour catchers and are brilliant at stopping colours running, but I don't think they are any good if the clothes have already run. It's not very OS but colour run remover (can't remember who makes it) is a good product and has worked for me in the past.Jane

I think it's Dylon that make the colour run stuff - the same people that do dyes. If the skirt is cotton you might be better leaving it soaking in a tub of cold water till you can get the stuff.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
