It just occurred to me that a godparent is one of the closest formalised relationships outside blood or marriage.
Is it? I would have thought there were many more formal relationships that come before a godparent. A godparent has no legal standing over and above any other friend of the parents who chose them.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
