Hi
I am trying to reclaim PPI on my husbands Lloyds TSB credit card. He opened the account in June 2001 and I have every statement (except 2) up until Jan 2007 showing PPI payments of around £80 a month. I'm unsure of the date that the credit card was paid off as there was still a balance on the card on the last statement in my folder
(I do have more statements but around the time the children were born the filing system went out the window and all bills etc were stuffed in boxes and put in the loft when full up)
My question is can I just write to Lloyds with the date that the card was opened and account number and ask them to refund the mis sold PPI or do I need exact amounts and dates?
I'm pretty sure of the mis sold part as he is Type1 diabetic and was never asked on the phone if he had a medical condition and the salesman was very pushy about adding it to his account and he also never asked about his employment package which he was covered with contractual sick pay so its really just about how to approach the bank, Many thanks in advance.

You dont ask for a refund as such. You make a complaint giving the reasons for complaint. If your complaint is successful, then they refund.I'm pretty sure of the mis sold part as he is Type1 diabetic
That wouldnt make PPI mis-sold unless the diabetes is so bad that it would make claims on other medical conditions impossible.he also never asked about his employment package which he was covered with contractual sick pay
How much sick pay? A year or less?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
