The contract is only binding when it 'concludes'. The contract concludes when both parties agree it concludes, and this is not necessarily when you place your order. Most online transactions conclude when the seller dispatches the item or sends an email saying they accept your offer.

If the contract has not concluded they owe you nothing so they are being very generous in giving you the voucher.

I'm not sure what you want a like-for-like replacement of exactly though. If they have not sent you anything then you have nothing to replace.

If it wasn't dispatched there is no contract.

You are not going to get a £250 cot for £1, or a like for like cot. You took a punt which we all would but this time it's not worked. Take it on the chin.

You offered them £1 for a cot, they refused your offer, what they did is legal there is nothing you can do about it.

    But you didn't purchase anything.

Even if they took the money you still have no right to the cot. It's not like in a shop, online the contract is formed when the goods are sent.

I had a situation before Christmas where an advertised 20% off sale (30% off shoes) "doubled up" so that things were almost 40% and 60% off. I did add some more 'wish list' items as I could now afford more for the money I had set aside. I also knew they could say 'woops, website glitch' any time up to dispatching it so awaited the dispatch email like a hawk! I did get them, maybe they didn't notice, maybe they let it slide as I have bought many things from them before? Maybe they thought well let this one go.

Put it this way I'm sure if everything was £1 I wouldn't have got it.

Did you happen to find this through a 'hotdeals' type site? As soon as glitches like that go on those sites the websites must get bombarded and any that may have slipped through the net will get caught up when a website selling 1 pram a day suddenly sells 400.

Littlewoods & Very seem to misprice items quite frequently...

See this topic below from yesterday on some baby items that were mispriced on the website yesterday!

And you'll get it. They'll replace your £1 with another identical £1.

From that I've read online thousands of people bought the £1 cot, can't believe they all expect to have the price honoured if it is 30,000 people like Facebook comments suggest it could put them out of business surely. Some people have set up a Facebook page trying to get all
Shop direct catalogues to honour it , makes for funny reading lol.
