hi there,
my husband and i are recently separated and im looking for a list of who needs to be informed.
Its still a bit raw so i have only told bank, tax credits, student loans and bursary.
he is still staying a few nights at the house as he has nowhere to go and i have night shifts at work so need him to be there for the kids, because of this i havent told the council tax etc yet as i feel its dishones to claim as a single person if he is still technicly there half the week.
is there a list somewhere of who/what to split/ tell that you are now single parent.
thankyou in advance.

Hi
This link may be useful (some points relate to divorcing rather than separating but still worth a read) http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/relationships_e/relationships_relationship_problems_e/ending_a_marriage.htm

It's always sad when a relationship comes to an end , married or not.
From personal experience (years ago) take your time.
You have to be 100% sure this really is the end of the relationship and there is no way back.
Once you have decided this is the only way to go, you will feel confident about facing the future.
You have your future to look forward to and 20 years down the line you should look back at this episode of your life and feel confident this was the best decision for both parties
There may be times in the future where there is a stab of guilt or questions in your head about ' what if we got back together'
Just always remember the reasons why this relationship hasn't worked before making any decisions that could put you both back to square one.
