alton towers fast track

does anyone know how to get discounted fast track tickets for alton towers? the unlimited fast track is £90 each for one day! we are going for a few days and theres 5 of us. the problem is i have a very bad back and cannot stand for too long, but i am not classed as disabled so cannot play that card, but £90 is a lot of money. the trip so far is costing over £700 just for park tickets and hotel (for 3 nights). any ideas anyone?

Download the alton towers app it gives you money off different things in the park including fast track although you can choose which rides you want to fast track on making it cheaper, but get there early as they sell out super quick:)

We went at Halloween and we had fast track for all the rides and unlimited fast track for the smiler which we gave to other people when we left...made their day as the queue was 3 hours!

Have a great time and if you are staying in the hotel try the Emperor Grill, quite pricey but amazing food!! x

We went a couple of times out of peak season midweek and didn't really queue much at all for anything. Aside from the new ride you may find you don't have a problem at all. Re your bad back, could you borrow a wheelchair for the day to help you get around comfortably?
Hope you have a great trip!
Many thanks to everyone who posts competitions and works so hard to provide all the answers!

We went on a weekend in Sept and hardly queued - we used the Single Rider queues which are brilliant, obviously you won't usually get to sit together but if you're not bothered by that it can shorten a 2 hour queue to 10 mins! The only two where we queued more than 15 mins or so were Rita and Air. We did all the rides at least once in the day which I never expected.

TBH if you have a bad back are the rides really suitable? There are lots of warnings about not going on the rides if you have back problems.
  • I am going in the summer holidays mid-week. The rides won't affect my back too much, it just hurts when I stand for a long time or walk long distances without breaks. Thanks melx will do that x
  • i'm exactly the same , i cant stand still for more than a couple of minutes. if i was you save the money you will be spending, this year and the next couple of years and put it together for a big holiday in florida. they staff were great at disney, sea world and universal, they let me wait sitting down while my family queued, sometimes no of us had to queue. we went to lego land uk last year and they wouldnt do anything for me.
i'd love to go to alton towers, but i cant queue, and can't justify paying £500 for one day- bloody ludicrous!!! esp when it cost us £3500 for 12 days of parks for 4 people
