Can I transfer part of my card balance to another provider?

Options
I have finally managed to consolidate 3 cards to one, which makes a hefty and very motivating balance to clear but I am determined to do it. I could only get 12 months 0% through an existing card as I have a reduced income now and have missed a payment recently. My question is, at that time, can I transfer part of the balance to another card as I suspect I won't be able to transfer the whole amount, or can you only transfer whole balances?
Thankyou for any help!

You can certainly transfer partial balances. Good luck!

yes, part balance is very possible.

just work to reduce it as far as you can, and then, at the end of your 0% deal, apply for a card from a different provider and move as much of the balance to a 0% deal as you can. hopefully all of it. but if just part, you could apply for a third card to move the rest...and if not, just pay the minimum on the 2nd card and focus all attention on clearing the interest-generating balance on the 1st card.
