I emailed a complaint, got no reply and so called them. Apparently their call center in India tried to call us three times on New Years Eve!! I was asked to call the complaints team so I did.
Thanks in advance a very worried mother.
I call troll ... Npower haven't got any call centre's in India ... Their call centres are in the North East .. Can't see how you would get a tyneside and a mumbai accent mixed up .. 3 times !!
Its the back office work which is being outsourced to india not the call centres ..and is hasn't gone fully yet either
And what has the fact you are a mum got to do with anything ?
Will someone please think of the children !Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...
Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.0

Ok just wanted to thank the posters who have tried to help out here. As it stands we are now using a plug in meter as well as taking meter readings and yes we are averaging 9.76kwh per day over the past 5 days which tallies with Npower. Tried turning everything off all looks fine had already logged readings for all appliances and given these to Npower. They are still trying to work out what happened over summer. We are going to give it a month then pay off what we can as quickly as we can and leave.
Sorry fed up and stressed but this is my first post no idea what troll is can only assume its an insult. As you will note from my past post Npower APPARENTLY TRIED to call me. I found out when I called Npower and was told by their representative that the team in India had tried to call me on New Years Eve 3 times if I would bear with him he would work out the time they called but he needed to check time diff. first.
The fact I am a mother has something to do with everything it is the most imortant job I will ever have, raising my children, and the time it is taking for me to sort out this issue with Npower is time away from what is important. I hope I will educate them enough to know not to make judgements, such as the ones you have obviously made, about people especially when they are looking for help and advise.
 To everyone else Thank you0

Immersion heater back-up left on 24/7?
Worth mentioning, but if they are DHW solar panels in the summer the thermostat on the immersion would turn it off and then the bills would creep up as autumn arrived, unless this coincided by chance with somebody switching it off. [If they were PV panels even less likely for a peak in consumption unless wiring was wrong..]
I think the low figures are possible in the circumstances. Currently on around 8 units a day, but that's single, also no TV etc, and conscious of consumption as I've PV panels (figures - export included in total).0
