We were put on a 30 day consultation regarding a restructure with redundancies a definate. We have been given the option of VR or to reapply for certain jobs.
What happens if you decide not to apply for a job as you deem them unsuitable, but do not want to take VR.
Thanks

Compulsory redundancy if your job goes and there is no suitable alternative.
Some places say If you don't apply you are resigning in those cases you have to be a little more careful during the consultation making sure you get the jobs identified as not being suitable alternatives.
Is the VR(which is really a mutually agreed termination) package is enhanced and the Compulsory redundancy a lesser pay out?0 -
i wasnt in work today but im back tomorrow and will be looking into whether its a resignation.0

Hi
Be very careful if you apply for your job.
You may well find that you get a new contract of employment.
This may well be not as advantages as your existing one.

Echo the above
One trick that is used is to get you to "apply" before on notice of redundancy, this can bypass any suitable alternative as you have just applied for the job.0
