Held to ransom by Sony

Get Resogun free when you are a PS+ member they say. This is not the case with me. They charged me £12.71 for it, then they tell you by email to ring there costumer service which is a premium rate phone line when you use a mobile. Even though they have said its there fault I will still be out of pocket because of the 40 minutes I used in phoning them. I feel very ripped off for something that was not of my own doing.

Sony's non-premium rate phone number: 020 7859 50001. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
when you add the game to your cart and hit checkout it tells you how much you are being charged.
Were you actually signed in with the account you had your PS+ sub on or were you signed in on another account?
Was your PS+ sub definitely active BEFORE you checked out(i.e. you didn't buy the game first then apply your PS+ sub after)?0 -
Thanks for the phone number.
Yes I was logged into my plus account. They told me when I rung them up. They have told me I should've got it for free. But it's taken 30 to 40 mins on there help line. It feels like I'm been made to pay for there mistake and I dare not ring them again because of how much it cost. It's like be held to ransom. Do I ring them up and tell them that they have had money off me under false pretences or do I cut my losses and let them get away with it? Do you see where I am coming from?0 -
In fact should they be reimbursing me for my phone calls seeing that the problem was all of there making? If they had not of charged for what they say is a free game then I would not have to phone them up and have that cost dumped on me.
Thanks0 -
Chalk it down to experience and don't ring premium numbers from a mobile. They didn't force you to use a mobile, when you could have used a landline instead.0

Oh and when I downloaded the game it had the price by it with a red line through it which I would understand meant that the price was crossed off. But even the lad on there help line said they seem to have made a mistake.0

That's another point. I don't have a land line phone. No need for one with mobiles. So you are saying anyone who has not got a land line should just let them get away with what is nothing less than obtaining money from them under false pretences?0

I'd sent them emails but they more or less force you to use a phone for "security reasons"!0
