how to put up tiered shelves?

I wonder if anybody has an idea on how to put up tiered shelves? I can find tutorials on basic shelves otherwise all I get is pages of shelves for sale 
The shelves are like the ones that you put small ornaments on. Three wooden shelves linked together with sides.
Any help will be appreciated

Most of the ones I've seen have had small brackets screwed to the back of the shelves, to allow them to be hung on the wall. For some reason, these brackets seem to be called "mirror plates". An example would be http://www.screwfix.com/p/mirror-plates-slotted-electro-brass-32-x-32mm-pack-of-10/14738If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
