unlocking region 2 DVD player

Hello,

I hope you can help, I am trying to hack my region 2 dvd player I have tried all of the following but to no avail, is anyone able to help?

This is most likely to work on most LG players, although more recent players may have a different chipset. If it works on your player and its not listed above then please do let us know.

Power on the player with no disk in the drive
Wait for the No Disc message to appear
Press Pause and Enter on the Remote
Enter 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9 on the Remote (the word COdE or FF appears on the display)
Enter 0 on the Remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.)
Press Pause on the Remote
Power the player Off, wait 30 seconds and then power back On
If the above code fails to work then once the player has displayed the No disc message press Stop before entering the above code. If you have a DV-5522, DVD-5500N, DV-7711P and DV-7721P models then you may need to omit the Enter press in step 3. For DA-3530A with software version 0.9 omit the steps 5 and 6 - also the hack doesn't stay in the player memory so you'll need to re-enter it if it is powered off.

Firmware Version Display:

Note: Checking the firmware revision may reset the video selection mode so you may need to reapply this after using this option

Press Setup on the Remote
Select TV Aspect
Place the cursor on 16:9 wide
Enter 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3, 9 on the Remote
Press Enter on the Remote
Press Setup to clear the information once read
Beware: There are reports that entering a code to enable VCD playback may result in the players firmware becoming corrupted thus making the player unusable. It is for that reason we have not listed the code.
