JD Sports Heely's- they have cancelled my order

Hi All

We placed an order yesterday morning, for a apir of heelys as seen on the JD website in the sale, at a bargain price of £24.99 +£5 delivery cost. Have an order no etc.

Well my dughter will be in tears on returning form school today,w hen I tell her I have an email from them saying order is now cancelled.

When I called they said they didnt have enough stock,a nd they had also been an error in the pricing of them. I asked should they not honour the price at what was shown,a nd what was on my order they said no, and the order had therefore been cancelled. Not sure , but do I or everyone else who may of placed an order have any rights ?

And advise what be fab. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Cancelled orders are common when a miss-price is involved.

They dont have to honour the price, unless the law (courts) decide at what point is a contract started, usually when monies is taken.

I understand how upsetting it could be especially for kids

This isn't a grabbit and shouldn't really be here. Please see sticky on posting in grabbit forum

EDIT the law defines shops, online or not to that sell goods as selling them on a 'invitation or treat', that means they dont have to accept the offer they original offered and if the price was wrong they can refuse or charge more but you can also refuse the higher charge.
  • jus to let u no u can get similar shoes to the heeleys (called wheeleys lol) from harrow and hounslow for £25.

Regular posters on here know that for every decent misprice that is accepted and delivered , a dozen are rejected.

It isn't worth losing sleep over, threatening legal action or boycotting a store, IMHO.

Sorry it was your daughter's present, but probably best not to promise on misprices until they land on the doormat.
