Hi

I'm setting up a forum using the free Simple Machines Forum software. Nothing huge to rival MSE or anything. Just small niche forum.

Can you please recommend good cheap hosts that give enough PHP memory, execution times etc to run a small forum.

    Define cheap.

    Any hosting that offers PHP/MySQL hosting will do. It really depends on what bandwidth you think your site may use / traffic it may generate.

    PHPBB forum software (a plugin/installable option with most hosting companies) will likely do what you need.

    Some to consider ...

    Namehog (who I use)
    Meirhosting

    I have done in the past, but don't now.

    I used phpBB as it was easy to setup. Many PHP-based hosts will have this as a "plugin" via their admin interface (Cpanel or equivalent).
