We have a neighbour's cat pushing her self on to us.
She is lovely & called Angel  (I refer to her as Angle)
Her owner works nights & the poor cat seems to spend 24/7 outside
Bryn hates her & regularly sees her off but she is like Tigger & just bounces back into garden the second you open the back door.
Talked to neighbour & found out she isn't spayed & they can't afford to get her done
So I've arranged a spaying voucher to be sent to her with her cooperation & permission, fingers crossed she is done soon.
Last thing I need is a litter of kittens living in my bird tablepoor thing. Well done as the little mite will have no chance otherwise. I have a mum and daughter cat from rescue and daughter at 2 still tiny - mum was far too young really. I inherited a male black and white cat like this when I lived in Ripon. Appeared on the back shed every morning obviously out all night. I had 2 cats of my own and was working full time (commuting to Bradford so I was leaving at 7am every morning). Felt so sorry for it but it didn't want to come in - especially when we got to minus 10 degrees and there he was on the corrugated roof
. Then one Saturday I was cooking chicken and he flew in and never left. He belonged to an alcoholic who lived in his Dad's house but they used to fall out and he used to go away and don't think Dad fed the cat. He had 4 white paws so we called him bobbysox. Before bobby arrived for good he went missing for a week - much consternation - but then reappeared - women at end of row had taken him for the snip! Unfortunately the previous owner had been adamant that he wanted his cat to remain 'intact' (no wonder dad didn't encourage him in). So he used to turn up when p..d and accuse me of stealing his cats balls  - couldn't tell him it was old lady at the end lol. Quite frightening at the time tho. Yet when sober he realised cat had made is choice and I had said he could visit any time (dingbat - I was young and foolish then)....

Yes, sometimes it is cheaper to book for 2, and then one 'may not' turn up.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Others only cruise as they are alone but love to play Bridge. Always a Bridge host so some just stay onboard and play all day.
I agree underperky a fantastic thing to do. I did part of a rtw 8 years ago (the part furthest away) They even had a guest english teacher onboard to give the staff lessons.. would love to go as a craft or art teacher. I did work on a ship for a while and was fun having Officer status.
Kept glitching underperky and you will be back cruising before you know it.
I do find excess supplements for single travellers ridiculous (holidays not cruising). While looking at hotels last week some wanted to charge me more than double . Ridiculous if you think about it 1 person can't possibly use more facilities than 2 people or eat as much plus only one plane seat:eek:
I make up my own packages as cheaper but there is definately an unfair discrimination. Even worse if couple in next room have paid less than you and taken 2 kids with them:eek:.
So I buy a plane seat (lucky there with dd job) and just pay more for my hotel room than couple next door. Not on really and only a few quid less for a pokey single room in noisiest part of hotel.
Ok rant over. I got a good deal but could have been even better if I wasn't travelling alone.

I do agree with you on this. Our post room man at my last job loved his holidays. He was an older gent, single and not great on the computer. I used to help him out searching for hols online ( he used to go to an Independant travel agent) and the supplements were awful. Like you, I can't see why. Unless they are trying to recoup on extras on food, drinks and whatever else 2 or more people will bring
I'll put it on the manifesto
We should have a room 101....that would be fun

I have no idea what nan means!
From Wikipedia:
"In computing, NaN, standing for not a number, is a numeric data type value representing an undefined or unrepresentable value, especially in floating-point calculations. Systematic use of NaNs was introduced by the IEEE 754 floating-point standard in 1985, along with the representation of other non-finite quantities like infinities."

Time for my bed
Nite nite folks0 -
All a bit crazy here as the builders started the extension on Monday:T
We did not realise how the dust would get everywhere
They are going at a good pace but we want doors with glass in the top half and were being told we have to have plain brown doors as they don't do them with glass at the width we need for a power-chair:mad:
I'm going to find out how much it will cost to get them made if we have no joy as I like the way the light goes through the house down stairs as our old house was so dark.
I feel for you. I had a lot of work done a couple of years ago. People told me about the dust but you don't really understand until you experience it!! Don't compromise on what you want unless you really have to -- you'll regret it. I still get excited about some of the things I stood out for. I hope it ends up just as you want.0 -
I am off to bed too.....another day if builders bums and brick dust tomorrow. I might even be forced to buy some tea bags
Following me DM? You can see for yourself if Im sticking to my manifesto0
