I bought a Commodore Vic 20 with my birthday money when I was 16 :D. Before that my father came home with a Pong game for the TV, and we always had to put the TV on 10 minutes before we wanted to watch anything so it could warm up and we had to twiddle knobs on the back to straighten the picture out :rotfl::rotfl:

And I was absolutely delighted with my 18th birthday present, a very new and modern credit card sized calculator :D

Can't resist, I know I really should not say this, but that would be 2a = c or something along those lines:)

I remember the maths lesson when the teacher introduced letters into maths.. my learning stopped that day! :o:o:o

But all the kids are great with maths, all have A levels and one is doing a pure maths degree... I think they were swopped at birth! I was not able to help them with their maths when they were 6 years of age! :o:o:o:o:o

we needed new flooring for our hallway, so we started out search in wickes. there was 3 packs of flooring reduced to clear as there was no packaging. selling price today was £35 per pack, it was reduced to £19 per pack. dw said to me "its reduced as there is no packaging but this one has some slight damage as well"
so I asked to see a manager to see if he would knock a little more off because of this. I was pushing it really as damage would not show after fitting. I would have been happy for him to reduce 1 pack by another £2. but he knocked all 3 down again to £10. my wife cringed when I asked him for another spare board they had so I could replace the damaged bits. again he said ok. :j
I needed the extra board as I only just had enough without it. you always need a little extra to allow for cuts.
so all in all I got £100 of flooring for £30. :T
now the bad bit. dw wants me to lay it tomorrow.
right just off to eat my dinner now. its not any old dinner, its an m&s dinner.

Well done, hope you used gift card from Tesco xxx

Good luck with laying it tomorrow hahahaha

    As with the old TV's

    we had a television

    black and white

    square box thing

    with 2 channels

    bbc and itv

when one of the valves blew

one of us children would run to

the next village to the tv hoover washer repairer

shop and race back with the valves for normal service to resume

but the best of it was that it only had 2 knobs

but one broke off and we had to turn it over

    with rubber handled spanner

    and even with 2 channels

    there were arguments over

    which channel to view

    happy days

It was rubber handled pliers not spanner

and we only upgraded to rubber handle

after my father was informed that solid

metal ones could blow all the fuses

and probably the person that was turning tv over

    the good old days

SS tills completely risk free- follow this.

1.Spend minimum of £25 befor multibuys- 2 £10 meal deals should do it.

    2. Scan all your items

    3. Do not press pay and finish at this stage but instead scan your two vouchers one at a time and insert in slot.

    4. It will look odd as money to pay does not drop immediately

5 Press pay and finish and amount owing on two £10 meal deals will drop to £10

    :D:D:D

Hi, can I ask are the vouchers still avaible in store please or have they finished? Thanks fernie

They are from a web page called Green Redeem. You need to so some surveys, but it only took about 10 minutes on Sunday and they sent me £15 work of vouchers received on Wednesday

It is really simple.. I managed to do it!

    Good luck
