Well I woke up at 3am and no sign. So took her little dog onto the lawn for a wee and went back to bed. I was awake on and off till 6 then went back to sleep. Woken at 7 by sound of couple arguing outside my window when they were defrosting their car. So back to sleep again and she finally text me at 8.30 to say she went to her boyfriends and her friend stayed out ( as per).
She came home about 9.30 with her boyfriend and has now gone out to Mcdonalds for brekkie with her 2 friends. She has a bruise on her elbow but does not know how she did it. What a surprise.
Anyway determined to keep calm and talk to her later cause I hope we are not getting back to her taking me and bf for a mug. Its partly the therapy as its all about her making her own mind up etc. I agree in principle but was thinking this morning that this has been going on for 15 years and I am getting heartily fed up with it.
On the plus side weather lovely so have cleaned the shed, organised the freezers, cleaned the paths and been to Waitrose for free milk. No milk to be seen but to be fair they did give me a free 2 pinter yesterday of skimmed cause they had none in. Got a free range chicken last night for £4.00 so doing a roast later for OH, mUM AND ME. Got some frozen roasties, veg and gravy out of freezer too so cheap lunch and will make chicken and ham pie for Mum tommorow as I am away in London for 4 days this week.0 -

Coming back from Ts, I stopped at the lights (monitored by a camera)_.An ambulance pulled up behind me with lights flashing so me and another car went through and pulled over in front of the other lanes to let it past. Worried now I'll get a fine and points!Wheres_My_Cashback wrote: »It's possible ! The ambulance should find it's own path through a congested area. You should NOT break any traffic laws to give way to an emergency vehicle as you will be liable for prosecution. The Highway code is very clear on this. That's the theory, reality may be different, but it could be a case of 'computer says' you jumped a red light. Hopefully common sense prevails !!!
WMC is right, you should not break any traffic laws to give way to an emergency vehicle (despite what your common sense might be telling you!). Rule 219 of the Highway Code states:
Emergency and Incident Support vehicles. You should look and listen for ambulances, fire engines, police, doctors or other emergency vehicles using flashing blue, red or green lights and sirens or flashing headlights, or Highways Agency Traffic Officer and Incident Support vehicles using flashing amber lights. When one approaches do not panic. Consider the route of such a vehicle and take appropriate action to let it pass, while complying with all traffic signs. If necessary, pull to the side of the road and stop, but try to avoid stopping before the brow of a hill, a bend or narrow section of road. Do not endanger yourself, other road users or pedestrians and avoid mounting the kerb. Do not brake harshly on approach to a junction or roundabout, as a following vehicle may not have the same view as you.
Some interesting observations on this topic on the RAC forum, including from drivers of emergency vehicles

Hi All
Can anyone tell me how I can see what cookies I have on computer. I'm using Windows 8.1 and for the life of me can't find any cookies. If I click on 'help' it says I have none. I'm thinking of rejoining Sun+ but when I go to website it keeps saying 'welcome back'. Want to delete their cookies before resubscribing0 -
That's not very considerate rose. It doesn't take much to send a text early on to let you know what her plans are. I forgot to do this once years back when I got really reallllly drunk and I've never forgiven myself.
Jelly can I just say (and at the risk of offending any lurkers or other forum members out there) that you're fast becoming one of my favourite elite weirdos?
