Skype is amazing, its the one good thing about the whole thing - we have far better communication now than ever we had when he was out in Cyprus. Also the free postage is excellent - magazines and tuck boxes get sent out every week :T
Its impossible to stop yourself worrying - it's always in the back of your head.
Logically though he is the safest place - mostly in compounds or bomb proof buildings or armoured vehicles. Youngest son climbing his mountains - now that is more dangerous. Even more so eldest child now on secondment in the wilds of London is the most likely to encounter danger :)

I was talking to my bother yesterday and we were talking about parcels and he said to me that ill never understand how much the parcels mean to him as when he receives them it has so many moments, one of normality,of home, of feeling loved and then tucking in to whatever is in there. I think it's brilliant you can send them for free as I don't think I could send what I do if it wasn't :) It doesn't matter where your children are you will always worry although we laugh now as my brother was away (I can't remembers where now) with the army when there was a lot of trouble and there was a massive sigh of relief when he returned and less then 24 hours of being home he got knocked of his bike and spent 2 weeks in hospital(fine now) but it was just a bit of a joke that he could fight for his country and not get hurt and then did that :)
One cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.

    Thank you, so lovely

No its a local firm - something I would always advocate doing, using local companies where ever possible.

Mind you if you deal with a national company you do have some right of re dress if things not go to plan.

Main thing though is as you say son did remember - despite being so far away and so isolated and the long hours etc, he did remember.

mhoc, have a hug from me.

Were the flowers ordered via an international operation like Interflora or similar? If so, I would take it up with them, they will not want to put business out to people like that I would have thought.

In the meantime know that your son wanted you to get some flowers and know he is thinking of you and have these virtual ones from me.
