Just trying to catch up an see I missed the king size mattress, could do with one of these as mine has a bum shaped indent where I sleep and don't like the other side.

Had a bit of a calamity yesterday.
When to Mr Shoes for a little look, lots of empty shelves, but didn't really want anything.
Next thing I know, goes !!!! over tit and land front side down flat on the floor with a huge crash
Two assistants came running to help and called the first aider as I went into shock and quite badly cut and bashed ankle and knee on good leg
    .
Established that my foot had caught under the metal base of a shelving unit which was sticking out because all the shelving had been removed as they were rearranging stock
They quickly put cardboard display stands round the metal base and heared them ask security to find the CTV clip of me falling.
They completed an accident report form, cleaned and dressed my wounds and offered to call an ambulance or order me a taxi home.

Sure nothing is broken, but very sore, bruised and cut on top of ankle keeps opening when I move.
Refused hospital and taxi no good as didn't want to leave car at deserted retail park overnight.

Asked me to give them a ring to let them know how I was, but didn't feel up to it today :( and think they should have offered to ring me.

Oh no that sounds awful, maybe you should get it checked out if it keeps opening must be painful.

    Where there is blame......

Seriously, if your not feeling good because of it, you should let them know. They are liable for making sure the shop is safe, and they didnt. If you dont want to make a claim, tell them that and see if they could offer something to make it up to you. If you do want to make a claim (if it was me, I would, but each to their own) then do your research on a good solicitor, and look out for ones that offer cash advances and Ipads and the like for signing up to them, their can be catches in accepting anything in advance.

Ouch! Sounds painful. I hope you are ok. I agree! asking you to ring them is a bit of a strange request....

fairclaire they are hoping that she does not bother ringing and that it will go away and not come back to haunt them;)

  • I hope it has past the watershed...

Many years ago... When I was very young.... I met a young man with an addition!

I nearly died when I saw it... and could not stop myself shouting... you don't think that is coming any where near me.. and then ran!!

    :o:o:o:o:o:o

An addition? The mind boggles! It's not a question lol
