Oh, that's nothing. During a food cupboard clear-out last year, I ate tinned sweetcorn with BBD of 1993.:)

I clear my cupboards out once a year but put the OOD stuff back in at the back "just in case":)

My anchor cheese has mould on but I just cut it off:rotfl:

Anyway the good news is that my Yorkies biscuits are in date:)

That brought back a memory from 1970

I was a Saturday Girl in Woolies - one of my jobs was to take the OOD prepacked cheese from the counter to the prep room. Then open, cut off any mouldy bits, grate, and return to the counter.

Ready grated cheese sold for twice the price of the prepacked blocks.

I was a Saturday Boy at a now-defunct supermarket chain, sometimes on the meats counter, and once the prepacked pies were past their sell-by date, we unwrapped them, stuck them in the ovens for a few minutes to warm them up, and sold them as 'Freshly Cooked Today'.:)
