You're right Enterprise, misery loves company unfortunately
Completely different scenario but one of my best friends (until 12 years ago) was like this, she revelled in mine and our other friends bad times. We stopped being friends not because of this (she did something completely despicable), but it wasn't until afterwards that I could see what she had been like. We were so close so I was blinded by it and always defended her etc
Don't know what I'm trying to say really, I'm just wittering on
Anyway in other news....
Just had £240 Amazon vouchers delivered from the Mumsnet/More Than competition I won on 31st Dec :j:j:j

After all that has happened to Scamps I think I am just finding it hard to understand how any human being can be so cruel to another, especially someone they have lived with and loved for 12 years.
If you have rich parents and they are the ones causing you to split from your husband, why go back with an army and nick the tv, a load of ornaments, a stash that was never anything to do with you and even the fuel keys? On top of already cleaning out the joint savings account of £15000!!
Really, what is the world coming to? I dread to think what she might have done if she was really peed off!
I find it hard to understand how somebody could be so cruel to leave someone in such dire straits without a good reason especially after scamps has had such a bad accident with his head a foot.On a more practical level has he unwanted Christmas gifts he could return or maybe pawn his wedding ring etc.0 -
I have only ordered two sets as this is more than enough for us. one for me one for my friend next door
As I picked up a bargain from Germany for Christmas dinner a 70 piece24ct gold plated set worth £1750 for £86 delivered
No fair - I would have loved that
One thing I will always regret, I fell in love with some cutlery when we were on holiday in Bangkok, a full set of brass and rosewood cutlery (and I mean a FULL set that felt really solid) for some ridiculous price, about £20 or so if I recall (it WAS Bangkok, got some things for really silly prices there:D) but we had to conclude that it would cost us a fortune in excess baggage charges, shopkeeper offered to post it to us but did not trust them enough to pay the price and the postage. A couple of days later we got to Phuket and I nearly kicked myself thinking we could have posted it ourselvesNot sure if it would have arrived though, being as how it was knives etc and contained some kitchen knives too which could have been construed as weapons by customs. If I saw it again though I would get it.
