is it possible to download ebooks from kindle shop and read them on a kobo touch??

No. Kindle ebooks are in a protected proprietary format and can only be read on a Kindle or the Kindle App.0

You can if the books don't have DRM, such as ones past copy-right. You need to convert from the Kindle format (mobi) to the Kobo format (epub), using a utility such as Calibre or epubsoft. I can't post links but just google for mobi to epub, lot of information out there.
If you are after DRM free books then google Project Gutenberg, it's a non-profit making organisation which puts up a variety of books that aren't covered by copyright.0
