EON switch failed - they blame the Cheap Energy Club.

I applied to switch to EON through the Cheap Energy Club twice, and both times , after a few weeks wait I got an email from the Cheap Energy Club saying that my energy switch had failed, it said "Oops the energy firm hasn't accepted your switch".
I phoned EON today to ask why and they said they had a record of giving out a quote on both occasions but that they received no order from the referrers (the Cheap Energy Club). They say that they would have accepted the switch had they received an order at the time, and they are willing to accept me now, but that I have missed the tariff that I applied for and the prices have now gone up. They said to take the matter up with the referrer as they caused the problem. I cannot find an email address for the Cheap Energy Club so I am posting this here.
I have never switched before and as a novice I thought it would be easier to do it through the Cheap Energy Club but this has gone badly wrong and I've missed out on the deal I would have got had I gone to EON directly. Can someone please tell me why my application was not forwarded to EON? If I am posting this in the wrong place can someone please tell me who to contact? Thank you.
