Thanks everyone,
Its something I have been meaning to do for a while! Every time I have got close something has come up to delay me- life eh!
I am up early this morning and have done an hour already so am working through them all!July 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books

Don't know if you've considered this but I use a mix of both comping systems. Mainly I comp by last post, but if I get behind for any reason, I 'end date for today and tomorrow' each day until I catch up.
It takes the pressure off having to catch up quickly or worrying too much about falling behind. And any end date comping is very quick to do, because I find I have already ticked or crossed most of the comps.

This is exactly what I do. I tend to get behind as the week goes on and I often only have half an hour a day for comping, so I use this to end-date, and then at the weekend I catch up with my by-date-posted.
If you're going to comp this way (by date posted), it's better to sort the board by "thread start time" rather than leaving it as the default "last post time", because otherwise the threads jump around as people bump them. Doesn't happen if you sort them!0 -
I comp as posted and do it as above, thread start time but also with 200 posts per page I find it much easier only having 20 pages in total than having hundreds. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Ditto from me!! :j :j
Hope it's not somewhere that runs too many good comps... I could never work for ITV with all the "employees excluded" clauses... :rotfl:0 -
Hi - what a nice post, this is usually how I comp
1st - I do the current ITV and TV comps
Then each day I take an hour to do 'end date' comps for the next 3 days
And at the weekend I do any TAB comps I like the look of
Seems to work fine for me and I think I keep up pretty well
Lots of red crosses though as I only enter for things I really want/need
Good luck everyone, happy comping2016 Wins - None0 -

I comp this way too - plus I also use the 'sort by popular' (as shared by Weeowens here) - that way I also don't miss any biggies! :T:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -

Hello all,
Many thanks for the replies and the good luck messages,
Pleased to say job is going very well and really enjoying it!
However, a mixture of an ill 8 month old and the internet being down for a few days - always the way! - meant I never got close to finishing but am 50% complete with a better system so it was still a worthwhile effort!July 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books
