Samsung DV150F smart camera, how do I transfer photos to ipad

Yesterday I bought a Samsung smart camera DV150F. With my last camera I transferred photos to my ipad using the apple lightning to USB camera adaptor with no problem. When I try with my new camera a message pops us on ipad "the attached accessory uses too much power". Not very technically minded and haven't a clue what to do. This camera seems to have all the latest gadgets on it including wifi but still don't know what I'm doing, and hubby is a dinosaur also so no good asking for his advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Use your Wi-Fi to transfer the images.

If you don't have Wi-Fi at home, then you need a separate power supply for the camera to do what you have been doing thus far.

If for any reason a separate power supply is unfeasible, then you can use a PC to transfer the data between the two devices.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

Yes, we have wifi at home. When I press the wifi symbol on the camera, it then says ' download and install samsung smart camera app onto the smartphone. You can download from the play store or App Store. Press next to continue' when i press next it says 'select the network ID below in the wifi network settings of the smartphone and then start the samsung smart camera app application. It then has a network ID which his a mix of letters and numbers and it has a coloured line running across screen as if downloading something but then nothing happens.
It mentions smartphone, but I don't have a smartphone, only my ipad that I want to download the photos on. It was easy on my last camera, but i finished it off when I was taking photos in a downpour at Xmas.
    Sorry to sound so useless.

That's OK, you can download the app on your iPad - it means "smartphone or tablet" really.
Once you've downloaded the app it might have better instructions, so I would try that next if I were you.

Thanks Humphrey10, I have now managed to link the camera with the ipad by wifi, but for some reason it's only showing me 2 photos at a time to transfer to my ipad, so it's going to take ages to transfer my batch of photos. There must be a way to display more than two at a time to transfer, you would think that anyway.

Easiest way would be to plug the camera into a computer and transfer the photos to the computer, then get rid of the ones you don't want, then transfer the rest to the ipad.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Thanks WTFH for the advice, but the ipad is handy when abroad on holiday to transfer the photos from the camera. Hopefully I'll find a way to transfer them quicker than 2 at a time.

According to page 115 of the user manual for your camera:
"The maximum number of files that can be sent varies depending on the storage space of the smart phone."

So, you should be able to select more than 2 photos. What happens when you scroll to more images and try to select them?

It will take time to transfer, it's not instantaiously which ever method you use.

You could also try the Lighning to SD card adaptor from apple, but as it seems that camera is micro sd, you would need a micro to normal sd card adaptor to go with the reader from apple. Thus said you could always leave that plugged in anyway, so not much of an extra.

Frankly the set up with lightning adaptor accessories seem to be them stuck on a bit of wire, which is so inconvenient and added waste of space. The old wide plugs just were the unit itself. I basically bought the apple lightning adaptor to fit the old plug, and use it with the old plug sd card reader for my camera, to ipad mini. Works fine that way, with no extra wires.

Can transfer large amounts at a time, though it's not instant :P but you can scroll and select, or just transfer all, including removing them from the card once done (but never do that)

Thanks Lifeforms, I'm looking into buying the Lightning to SD card adaptor from apple, what is the difference between that and the apple ipad camera connection kit ? I've also sent an email off to samsung just incase there is something in the settings set wrong which only shows me 2 photos at a time to download. I'm sure my husband set the pics setting on the largest size .....but unsure what I'm talking about.
