PPI Claim Advice

Hi,
I went bankrupt for (50k) and had a bankruptcy order for 5 years from (Oct 2008 - Oct 2013).
I had many credit cards and a few bank overdrafts that were part of the bankruptcy. Some of the credit card companies and banks I had been with for years before my bankruptcy. Some of the cards had credit limits that were over 10k.
In March 2007 I sold my house and cleared my mortgage of 57k, but could not clear the rest of my debt.
I do not know if I had any PPI on any of this and have no documentation. I can remember the banks though.
How do I stand with this and the official receiver now that I am bankrupt free?
Thanks

Make complaints if you feel you were missold the PPI.
Be prepared for the redress to be paid to your creditors if your complaints are upheld.
Some lenders will still ask for authority from the OR, even if you have been discharged from bankruptcy. Some lenders will pay you, some won't, you won't know until you try.0 -
You are entitled to make the complaint but you have no entitlement to the proceeds if the complaint is successful. The proceeds are paid to the official receiver to be distributed to the creditors that lost money when you went bankrupt.
Bankruptcy is a line in the sand but it works both ways. You neither have to repay liabilities from pre-bankruptcy but also you get no benefit from assets that are pre-bankruptcy. Refunds on PPI premiums paid pre bankruptcy are treated as a pre-bankruptcy asset.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
