  • Well what can I say, but sat here at silly o'clock again thinking why the hell did I drink all that wine. Have just read Alex's inspirational post and realising I must knuckle down and cut back on my alcohol consumption.I know why I do it, to cope with a difficult OH mainly. He doesn't realise he's difficult and maybe it's me but who knows it sure as hell isn't going to be any easier with me in a cloud of wine fug every night. Moan over must get back to bed and see if I can get some sleep.
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.
  • 5 please, Shaggy, thanks

Have a good week everybody xx
  • Adding another from yesterday to take me to 7/20 please Shaggy.

I'm amazed at the difference in me - it's like Dry January pressed a reset button or something. DH had a beer last night, and previously I absolutely would have joined him in a drink. But I didn't even need to have a debate with myself - I'd made my decision earlier in the day, and didn't want one. It's a personal revolution!

eta it isn't just Dry January - it's this thread. Amazing. Thank you all xxx

Sorry you are having a bad time arsenalbarnie. Of course you're right that the wine's not helping. Hopefully this week will be better.:)

Good morning...how did Monday come around so quickly!! :p

Well...I don't have any more AFs. Friday night was a disaster - I drank too much and forgot Shaggy's STOP BUTTON :( BUT I did cut down on Saturday night and finished the night on soda water and lime :) - a big step in the right direction!! Last night was the last glass of red left in the bottle (well it was winking at me and I couldnt resist) but this was followed by a hot chocolate :) rather than heading out to the supermarket to get another bottle :)
Shaggy - Im still on4/20 but my mini-goal is not to have another glass until Saturday night :)

Have a great week everyone :grouphug:

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Calling early with 5/TF for tonight please. You're all motivating me to commit.

My alcimeter in my phone has recorded units over the last 2 full weeks as 9.8 and 10.8 units per week, so i am well happy with that.
