The Giving Up/ Cutting Down alcohol support thread - number 13

Think thats correct so far. Its going ok this month. I do struggle a bit when Im out with people who dont know me well, I socialise quite a lot through the site meet up. I think its because there's the expectation that people do drink. I really need to try not to overthink it because when Im out with my mum its totally fine even if shes having a drink I wont.
Oddly enough we were in wetherspoon today and the manager let me, 3 times have a becks blue for the price of a becks. Its 1.59 for a becks and 2.25 for a becks blue, but he wasnt having any of that and said he was going to try and get it changed. Which is good as they dont do any other alcohol free beers in there and few other places where I live (hicksville) do alcohol free anything, supermarkets do, pubs no.
Plan is to finish the tri, have a very cheap week in spain and then Im signing up for a thump boxing/MMA bootcamp. One of the guys who works at the gym Im a member of, same one my brother works in is a professional MMA fighter and he runs a bootcamp and that is going to be absolute torture. But I think it just might get the few stubborn kilos off that are hanging onto my bahookie (bum).
My brother entered a strongman comp, an amateur one with a group of mates (I may have said this already so apologies if Im repeating) and he was placed 4th out of 8 in his category. He inspires me to keep going because he's worked hard for his physique, a lot is possible if you put your mind to it.
I was like a burst baw (ball) this time last year, Im just happy to be a bit fitter and it really is helping being able to get up for classes on a Sunday morning where everyone else is groaning with a hangover and you arent.
Hope everyone else is doing ok with their targets. Ive actually had more alcohol free days this year so far than Ive probably had in the last 4 years, no joke.

Only 7 / 31 unfortunately (although technically should be 7/12 since its 13 April today). I'm not one to make excuses, so I won't. Will be restarting again seriously from 21 April with at least 4 AFDs in the meantime.0

Very pleased to report 9/16 today. I only had wine on Saturday - no alcohol on Friday evening or on Sunday!! I only come on here to update mostly because I don't have time for much else but wanted to say that I do appreciate the support and the motivation that this thread gives me. Can't remember the last time I only had 1 alcoholic weekend day, usually Fri, Sat, Sun are always drinkypoo days for me. So a massive thank you to everyone
