10/16 for tonight please Shaggy. This has got the potential to be my first month meeting target (or even exceeding it). The diet is definitely helping with cutting down the alcohol. What goes around comes around.....I hope!0

Checking back in here after quite a few months off.
Generally things have been going well, I drink a lot less than I did and quite infrequently (1-2 nights per month) or was until this last few weeks. During the last few weeks I've started to get back into the habit of drinking on an almost daily basis. Just a glass of wine with my evening meal but for the past few days one glass has turned into two. I know this is not a route I wish to visit again, so am going to not drink for the rest of October.
I couldn't have dreamt about having such self control a year or so ago.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Checking in early for tonight makes 7 AF. No chance of back sliding as I have slimming world weigh in tomorrow0

I didn't want to drink anything and oh has arranged for me to go out for a birthday drink with someone on Friday (I haven't known her long) , so I think i'm going to have to make my excuses and let her down and risk upsetting her
Tricky. The good news is that you could take this as an opportunity to find out if there's a real chance of this person becoming a good and real friend, or that she'd just prefer to be a drinking buddy. If you're honest with her and say that you'd like to meet up with her but you're off the sauce for a few days, you might be pleasantly surprised to find that she'd be okay with it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do about it, anyway.
Welcome back, Alex!
18/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

I think at the minute I wouldn't be able to go out and be AF - unless i'm with oh and driving so Know i have too .
I hope one day I will be able too though i am nervous in social situations if im on my own without oh , soo this morning I texted her and thankfully she was fine about it - yay !
