Dog vaccination card

Yet another doggy question, thought best to put it in another thread.

Pup had his vaccinations about 8-9 months ago now. At the time the vet forgot to put the stickers on our card. OH had taken him and he's completely absent minded and didn't notice himself. Nagged OH for those 8-9 months to take it back (I can't get to the surgery by public transport and he's the only one that can drive), did absolutely nothing.

Now I'm trying to get pup into a doggy creche for play times and socialising on Sunday when we meet family for Sunday lunch. Of course, they require the pup to be fully vaccinated with an up to date vaccination card.

Will the vet be able to stamp the card this long after being vaccinated? I'm super worried now as was really looking forward to taking him.

I'm not sure they will as they usually use a sticker with the batch number which comes with the individual vaccines. They should be able to give you a letter saying that he is vaccinated (presuming that they entered the jabs onto their computer system) :)

I'm not sure, but have a feeling that there is a twin set of stickers; one going on the vaccination card and one on the vets record. This may have changed since the wider use of computer data banks instead of cards , though.

Anyway, your vet will have a record of the vaccination dates, so will be able to sign the card for you.

Won't be a problem, they will be able to update the card for you.

I took my dog in for his annual jabs yesterday, and forgot his card. Vets have his jabs all on file, and said they could update his card whenever I needed them too, if I needed them to...

So I would guess that would mean you can still get the card updated? Depending on the vets of course... But there's certainly no harm in asking them.

It will be fine as they need to record the batch numbers on the patients notes.so they can just write them on the card manually.
