Updating yourself on electoral role

I moved at the beginning of February. What do I have to do to update myself on the electoral role? I've checked my local council's sprawling website to no avail. I need to apply for a 0% card for car insurance soon and don't want to give them any reason to refuse me.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.
