Other entitlements whilst claiming JSA

Hi there, hoping for a bit of advice and info please.
Husband is signing on to claim IR JSA for the first time on Thursday and I have been trying to find out what other things this will automatically entitle us to such as prescriptions etc. Im sure there are other, less well known things that we could be entitled to but there is nothing I can find online that lists these things so any info would be gratefully received.
Another question linked to this is I currently pay for a pre payment certificate for my prescriptions as I have a lot of regular medications but I am wondering if now I will be able to stop this and claim free prescriptions for myself? I assume that the entitlement due to the JSA covers anyone within the household rather than on the claimant - I think I am right in thinking that - know its a basic question but want to check! I myself am not working due to health problems and currently claim contribution based ESA (which will cease in April) but I think I am correct in thinking this should not affect my being able to claim the free prescriptions now that my Husband will be claiming JSA? Obviously in its own right CB ESA does NOT entitle you to free prescriptions, but the JSA should?
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

It doesn't cover everyone in the household, it would only cover him and not because he claims JSA, I think it depends of JSA income related or household income.
Im not sure of the criteria to be honest, best thing to do is ring the DWP up tomorrow to clarify but I really wouldn't hold your breath.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
McKneff, thanks for your reply but having found a link in the meantime to the NHS page, I think you will find what you said is wrong. It does cover me as well as it states
You are also entitled to free prescriptions if you or your partner (including civil partners) are named on, or are entitled to, an NHS tax credit exemption certificate or a valid HC2 certificate (full help with health costs), or you receive either:
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, or
Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
Universal Credit
Here's the link

May be useful to someone else if they are looking for the same info. I somehow couldn't find the info before I posted on here though, but thanks for the reply.
Still wondering what else we may be entitled to a reduction on etc, so any further help/info would be great!!Wealth can be measured in many ways...not all of them by pence and pounds.;) :happylove0 -

Perhaps it's the way it's written, or the way I'm reading it, but I don't see how that qualifies you ?
You have not mentioned that your partner has either of the certificates in question (and I'm not sure that being on income related JSA would automatically qualify him for one) and you are not receiving any of the listed benefits - so you don't satisfy either the first part of the condition ('if you or your partner are named on...') or the second ('.. or you receive...')0 -
As you are claiming contribution esa in your own right then you are not on the jsa claim so you don't have automatic entitlement to free prescription etc also as your husbands claim is income related they will deduct £ for £ your esa from his jsa. you can claim exemption on for Hc10
