washing machine 7 months old & having problems

on one particular day it just stopped while it was half way through the cycle so I had a washing machine half full of clothes & water. managed to sort that issue and thought that was sorted. now in the last couple of weeks I've noticed my washing machine getting louder when it's on it's spin cycle & today while it was on the final fast spin I heard the door unlock & it beeped (which is the noise it makes to signal the cycle has finished) while it was still spinning
as I bought it 7 months ago it's still under warranty but are currys only obliged to send an engineer or am I entitled to a replacement or similar if they don't stock that model any more?
I tried reading the consumer rights FAQ on here but I'm still not 100% clear.
any help very much appreciated. I just want to make sure I have all the correct info to back me up if they try & fob me off.
thanks

The retailer has the choice, repair, replace or refund.
They will go with the cheapest option obviously so yes, they will probably send an engineer.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
so if they sent an engineer and the problem wasn't fixed would they then be liable to replace or refund?
thanks0 -
yes, but if they choose to refund they are not obliged to offer a full refund of the amount you paid. Although this is not often the case, they can offer a pro rata refund depending on the expected lifetime of the washing machine.0
