PCN in Norwich

Hi, sorry to write on this thread but I am new and couldn't work out how to make a new thread! I received a penalty charge notice on Dereham Road in Norwich, I don't intend on paying it! This is the appeal letter I have written to send them.. any tips on getting them to accept me appeal please? I have also included the ref no and my reg.


I am writing to appeal against the parkingcharge notice that was issued to me on 12/12/13. I feel this was very unfair, Iparked there for a matter of minutes as all the other spaces were in use. Ihave parked there several times before and never received a ticket. I was usingone of the shops next door, so didn’t see it would be a problem, it was agenuine mistake and I thought all the spaces there were for those shops. I amgoing through a very tough time at the moment and have just started a new job, sofinancially I really cannot afford for something like this to happen. I hopeyou are sympathetic to my problem as £60 is a lot of money to me.

date of parking incident.- was there a windscreen ticket?
or did the first notice arrive in post? (NtK - does it mention POFA and keeper liability?)
please confirm PPC - is it Norwich Traffic Control?

Sorry to say, that's a very weak and naive appeal - and too soon to send it. If this was a windscreen PCN and you are the keeper/owner of the car you don't respond as driver and you don't respond yet unless it was a postal PCN!

You need to read the 'Private parking ticket? Newbies please read this first!' FAQs & info thread (a 'sticky thread' permanently 'stuck' near the top of page one of the forum). Once you find your way around the forum it will work best for you and you'll learn how and when to respond to this. And how to win at POPLA.

Which PPC was it? No-one writes a weak 'begging letter' appeal giving away who the driver was, that's a no-no! We win on appeal with tried & tested wording.
