Just sent off my appear to Smart Parking.
Used a couple of different bits from the example letters on the forum so hoping that it will get dropped.
Also asked in my appeal for them to confirm that they have received it, do they usually do that?
Is it 35 days now I have to wait to hear from them?
Thanks0 -
They have up to 35 days to review and accept/reject your appeal. It is very unlikely they will acknowledge receipt.
If you did it online then you should (?) get an autoresponse. If you did it by post I hope you got a (free) certificate of posting from the PO.0 -
Did it online so no charge for postage. Not got an e-mail back from them to say they have got it as yet.
Will keep everyone posted on what happens.0 -
Hi All,
Just to let you know I got an e-mail from Smart Parking last stating that the charge had been dropped due to the points I raised in my e-mail.
Thanks very much for all your help in the matter
Another one to add the list of sucessfull apeals :T0 -
and "another one bites the dust!"
nice to see that properly worded appeals can work (not my work I can assure you, I copied and pasted it into notepad along with a few others I have seen on here)
so credit where it is due, to the people that wrote these appeal latters in the first place
well done m8, stress gone for you now so enjoy the rest of your day0 -
Well done to you
sometimes a soft appeal like that was posted above works, which is good news as Smart knows this was a forum assisted appeal and they know they will lose at popla, so they cut their losses such as they are.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
