Hi i'm a 23 year old with serve anxiety issues and have a bit of depression. i have had problems where my anxiety got very bad due to a person i was living with who was threatening me and basicly gave me such a bad time for a week i left as it was causing my mental heath to go worser.

As i ran out of there with only a few clothes and the property was funished by the landlord im trying to rebuild my life by trying to find new accodation and start fresh for 2014. i was woundering if theres any grants i can get to help me get live essentials such as Bed, bedding, chest of draws, some basic clothes and basic stuff need for living. i'm going to council soon and hopefully soon i can get everything back on track and start to make a new life for myself

any advise will be needed. my local area is Greenwich if that helps and i'm 23

    The council should have a scheme in place for this? Also, try places like freecycle.

  • Apologies if this sounds harsh, but beware of automatically saying/assuming you have a disability though - I'm not sure if your queries may get more responses under a housing topic.

    Have you been diagnosed with mental ill health (including clinical depression) by a professional and are you receiving any medication? Your first port of call should be a doctor to see what support is available. Your health issues and relevant meds may dictate your next steps, or who can help. Some charities and organisations focus on specific client groups and not others.

    You'll need to find accommodation before worrying about the stuff to furnish it with. Your local council will have an emergency housing team, or at least be able to try and get you a bed in a hostel until something better is found. They'll also be able to signpost you to other organisations and foodbanks, etc who can provide some support too.
