Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have been given a freeview box by a friend - no instructions just the box and the remote control that comes with it.
I have tried googling BT setpal (which is the name on the freeview box) and come up with nothing much at all.
My friend gave the box to me because she couldn't get freeview in her area - mine is officially not freeview ready yet but reception is patchy.
Does anyone have any experience of this box or can point to any instructions I can download? Or is it worth exactly what I paid for it

You need to plug it into your tv using the scart cable first of all
I assume you got a scart cable with it? Also a power adapter

1. plug the box into the TV with a scart cable
2. Plug your tv arial into the freeview box
3. Plug your freeview box in with a power adaptor
4. turn on tv and freeview box - switch to AV
5. If it doesn't auto tune, try to find a menu option for setup or install0 -
Make sure your leads from socket to box and box to set are latest type. Good leads are essential if you are in a fringe reception area.0

What do you call "latest type (of lead)"? As far as I know, every freeview box connects to a TV or other device via a SCART cable.0

Thanks guys
No wires came with the box but we had some cables here.
Tried it and we did get a few channels, probably about 10.
