Credit Card Opened at my address

Hi,

Last year I started getting mail from Barclaycard for someone who doesn't live at my address so I phoned them and asked them to stop but apparently that person has a credit card registered at my address. Barclaycard said they would rectify the issue but still I receive the mail for this person from Barclaycard.

Does anyone know what I should do to resolve this? I have thought of contacting the FSA but not sure if this is the right thing to do.

Can't you just write return to sender on the envelope and pop it back in the postbox?

Complain in writing.

Request that they correct the problem and compensate you for wasting your time by failing to act on your original notification.

As they don't exist anymore and never dealt with individual complaints I recommend against this.

If you're unhappy with Barclays' response google FOS.

Bear in mind that Barclaycard will have had no idea who you were, when you phoned. You could have been a prankster playing a trick, or somebody with a grudge - trying to get somebody else's credit card cancelled.

As others suggest just, mark the letters 'not known at this address' and re-post them.
