Nintendo 3DS XL problem??

Hi we bought my 8 year old boy a Nintendo 3DS XL for Christmas and it played up a bit so we asked Amazon for a replacement which we have now received but there was a offer of a free download of Mario 3D Land game for Christmas time. You access the download code by using codes from the new Nintendo booklet and the booklet of one of many bought games which we got a relative to get him.
We input the codes and got the download code for the free game and downloaded the game but of course now it is on the first faulty Nintendo and even though I have input some details into his new fully working Nintendo the game is not on there nor can I think how to get it on there. I tried entering the download code in the eshop on the new device but it says the code has already been used, help?

Hi
When you say you ordered from Amazon, did you actually buy it from Amazon or a 3rd party on there ?
If you ordered through Amazon I would drop them an email - go to your order and click "email seller".
Explain the issue and then wait for their response.
I have emailed Amazon a few times in the past and they are very helpful.
Hope this helps
